Recently, I made the decision (was told by Megan) to start working out! so! naturally, I held off for as long as I possibly could. If there is one thing you should know about me its that you should not exercise me...Here's why!

Megan signed up with a company called Orange Theory Fitness. They run different one hour workout circuits 365 (give or take) days of the year and apart from being extremely helpful for Megan, they are very pushy about getting their current members'...

Happy Monday Everyone,

It's Halloween this Wednesday, which means you will have a bunch of strangers and their little monsters (it's not rude because they are literally dressed as monsters) knocking on your door, trick and/or treating you as it were. Halloween has to be my least favourite "holiday" I don't like scary things, I am not a fan of candy, I hate dressing up (in costume) I hate excursive so the whole walking door to door for something that I already had access to...

If you keep up with my blog...and let's face it, you don't. You would see that I have missed the last two weeks! Well. I was busy! give me a break! What have I been busy with you ask? let me tell you!

Yesterday I closed The Bat at Cowtown Opera. After a few weeks of not having any groceries in the house, I went to Costco to buy some food that wasn't Doritos and apple juice...I noticed that Costco has all of the Christmas decorations up...That means the Christmas Party season is upon us and that means corporate bookings! If you are or know who is in charge of planning your Christmas or Holiday party, here are three things you need to know!

Those of you who know me even a little bit, know that I dive deep into the things for which I have a passion. This blog is going to be a diversion from the normal magic talk that I am usually spewing here. I thought instead, I would talk to you, briefly about one of my passions.

When I was in Highschool, I was a dreadful student. The topics didn’t interest me, teachers at my particular school didn’t have the time of day for students who didn’t catch, throw, swing at, or pl...

This has truly been a fantastic summer. I have come so far and learned so much about what it means to be a performer. I have had an absolutely amazing time at the Edmonton and Vancouver fringe festivals. I am so pleased with how Rabbit Stew was received by both cities. Before I fly out of Vancouver back to Calgary to start working on Cowtown Opera’s next show, I have one last piece of fringe business to take care of.

I have so many people that I want to than...

As I am sitting here on Granville Island waiting to head out to my show tonight at 8:35pm at Studio 16, I keep thinking back to a conversation I had about who magic is for. As a performer of Magic myself, I have a very strong view on this subject and whether or not it is popular opinion, it is my opinion and I am sticking to it.

Remember! Magic is for the general public. Laypeople… Sorry non-magicians, this doesn’t mean your lame, it’s just…your muggles okay…you’re muggles...

The beginning of September used to mark a bitter sweet occasion for me. I would travel with my family to the Calgary International Airport and fly off to Vancouver to start the School Year at UBC. It was sad to leave my family and the summer behind but it was so great to get back to Vancouver, surrounded by delicious food, the ocean, great friends, and so many cool Fringe shows!

That’s right! The Vancouver Fringe Festival kicks off on September 6th and I am on my way to Va...
